Check your emotions! 💚💚
Recently I posted on my local community Facebook page about an incident that had happened to me. Someone I didn't know commented it in a rather negative way. Although this didn't bother me, my daughter, ever my protector, was quite annoyed and wanted to add a comment that wouldn't have helped. This incident got me thinking about how we communicate in lots of different ways now electronically both at work and socially. I have regular discussions with my clients about how we must try to keep check of our emotions particularly when communicating via Whatsapp, or on social media channels as conversations can easily run away from us. As humans we know body language is important in communicating our emotions face-to-face but what happens in the world of Whatsapp, texting or email? These emotions can spill out into long and rambling messages or offloads to everyone which then doesn't help you.

How do you control emotions if you are frustrated or angry? Here are a few tips: - don't reply instantly - take a break and calm down - type out your rant and then delete it and reply with your head not your heart - don't put anything in a message you wouldn't say to someone's face - be kind to others
If you manage or are part of a team and are finding it more and more difficult to keep these electronic communications positive and constructive contact me for some help!
