How inspirational are you?

Can you answer that as a leader?
If one of your team were asked this question what would they say about you?
'Very!' 'A little bit.' 'Sorry, I don't understand

the question?'
What one thing you could do more of to be an inspirational leader?
Being an inspirational leader means being the main support for your team, being there to support them and help them grow. Similar to being the trunk of a tree.
As well as support how about offering them some sunshine!
Whilst a tree can't influence that, YOU CAN.
Sunshine in terms of leadership means the recognition you give your team, recognition that motivates them to do a better job. It's what makes them smile, just like the sun makes us all smile.
A simple appropriate ‘thank you’ is the most powerful and probably the best recognition of all. Do it daily and honestly for it to have maximum impact.
Be specific with your recognition so rather than just saying 'thank you', how about saying 'thank you for coming in early to help the rest of the team'.
Your team member will know that they have done a great job and most importantly YOU have recognised them for that extra effort.
That one simple thank you motivates your team AND makes you an inspirational leader - don’t ever underestimate it.
How motivating is that? If you would like help on how to develop leadership skills for you or your team, please get in touch.
