Every new year we are encouraged to look at our lives, work, and reflect on our achievements from the previous year. There’s lots out there to help you put some meaning and commitment to any New Year’s resolution so I’m not going to add to it.
My suggestion is that for 2023 you think about how you can empower your team to help you to focus on what you should be doing as a leader and most importantly give you back TIME.
If you made this your focus from today, can you imagine how much you and your team would have achieved by the end of 2023?
Empowerment means to give power to (someone); to make (someone) stronger and more confident. The key words here are GIVE and MAKE. Empowerment means you’re transferring power to someone else.

But why would you want to do this?
⭐ By empowering your team to do a good job you can let them get on with things, giving you time to get on with the things that really matter.
⭐ Empowering your team means you will have less questions, less interruptions!
⭐ Empowering your team means you can stretch their capabilities and support their learning and development which could mean your retain them for longer - a real win:win!
How can you empower your team?
✅ give generous boundaries to your team to take action
✅ give your team the freedom to make key decisions
✅ delegate key tasks to help them learn and develop
✅ ask for their input so they feel even more empowered
✅ demonstrate that your trust them by letting them get on with things!
Contact me if you want some help on how you can feel confident empowering your team I offer sessions covering the art of delegation, how to give constructive feedback or how to coach your team confidently.
